Eganridge Resort, Golf Club, & Spa provides luxurious accommodations in an historic estate overlooking Sturgeon Lake in the Kawartha Lakes. On-site golf, full service spa, conference centre with beautiful meeting rooms. Private waterfront. Nearby theatre, hiking, shopping, boating, fishing.
Set atop an expansive ridge, our heritage estate, a member of Ontario’s Finest Hotels, Inns & Spas, overlooks scenic Sturgeon Lake in the heart of the Trent-Severn Waterway. Towering pines shade an historic, square-timbered manor house. Loon calls echo in the morning air. Lakefront sunsets bring a warm glow to the dining room. Through careful design we blend heritage romance with contemporary luxury. Our premier spa, scenic golf course and fine dining ensure a memorable visit.
Dunsford House is at the heart of the Eganridge estate. Carved from virgin pine forests on the shores of Sturgeon Lake, this gracious log manor home blends Canadian heritage with contemporary luxury. Named for the prominent English family who settled here in 1837, Dunsford House remains one of the region’s finest square-timbered structures. Massive hand-hewn logs speak of the home’s early 19th-century heritage.
On the manicured grounds overlooking the lake, sit five luxuriously furnished one and two bedroom cottages. Rich in history and elegant in appointment, Dunsford House and the cottages rekindle the warmth and grace of an age long past. Enjoy the spectacular view from our spacious Terrace Rooms. Glass doors slide open to a private patio or balcony where you can watch islands emerge from the morning mist or listen to a loon’s haunting call.
Imagine, a member of Ontario’s Finest Hotels, Inns & Spas, an estate on a ridge overlooking beautiful Sturgeon Lake. Now picture yourself walking this ridge on the most scenic pay-as-you-play course in the Kawartha region. “…the 389-yard, par four sixth, whose fairway bisects a forest of pine and descends to a tree-cradled green; and the stunning 396-yard ninth hole, which drives you through a chicane of maples to a two-tiered green…” Toronto Life Golf Guide.
Tee-Off magazine describes Eganridge as having impeccable course maintenance and Poanna grass in perfect condition. Winding 3003 yards through pristine forests and unspoiled wetland areas, the par 35, nine-hole course is a true pleasure to play. Weekend, Midweek, and Twilight Rates are available.
The Pro Shop, located in the lower level of the original estate barn, offers lockers, showers and towel service, change rooms, club storage and cleaning, snack bar and licensed patio. Power cart as well as club rental is available. Our Pro Shop is well stocked with top-of-the-line golf apparel for men and women, and offer high quality golf clubs and accessories.
Eganridge’s secluded setting eliminates distractions, so corporate events and business retreats become productive and pleasant. Corporate golf tournaments are a house specialty. We have excellent menus and facilities for business meetings. Treetops, our conference facility, seats up to 150 people. Another fine example of how a founding member of Ontario’s Finest Hotels, Inns and Spas looks after all your needs.

We have 400 metres (1000 feet) of natural shoreline and protected docking for up to 10 boats. Sturgeon Lake, being in a limestone-based area, is protected from the effects of acid rain, and offers renowned Kawarthas fishing for muskie, bass and pickerel. We can suggest the best fishing spots for those who bring their own boat.
