The 19-person team was picked up from the Shopify Kitchener-Waterloo office in a luxury shuttle bus.

Next stop: Alliston, ON

They checked in to the sprawling, luxury farmhouse that is Eden, located in Allison, ON. Rooms were pre-assigned with sticky notes on the door. Welcome goodies were placed on each bed.

The caterers had already set-up shop in the kitchen and breakfast was ready. Breakfast included fresh scones, a Build Your Own Egg Sandwich station, fresh fruit salad, coffee and tea.

Eden’s dining room has seating for 20, which made for an ideal setting for the day’s sessions. Overseas team members called in via Skype and were projected on the big screen.

The Caterers laid out a buffet spread complete with a delectable charcuterie board, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, individual tiramisus and drinks. Desserts were then served to re-energize the team leading into their next work session.

Some additional colleagues made the short drive up from Toronto to attend this session. There was plenty of room at Eden!

A dinner buffet was assembled by the caterers complete with fresh rolls and breads, in-house salads, steamed vegetables, pan seared stuffed chicken breast and grilled salmon finished with a tropical fruit salsa.

Certified cocktail experts taught the team how to create delicious winter cocktails including Butterrum Beer, The Dirty Snowman, Classic Toddy (with a twist), and Blueberry Tea.

The caterers then set up a gourmet s’mores station around the fire pit. A delicious blend of gourmet chocolates, flavoured marshmallows, freshly baked graham crackers and other unique treats awaited the team’s construction of the perfect S’more. 

This was all enjoyed while the team sat all comfy and cozy in their Shopify branded snuggies that were waiting for them upon arrival.
